Birdie Alerts ("we", "us", "our") operates the website www.birdiealerts.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our service.
When you create a tee time alert, we collect:
Phone Number: Used solely to send you SMS notifications when a tee time matching your alert criteria becomes available.
Alert Preferences: The golf course, date, and time window you select for your alert.
Payment Information: If you subscribe to Birdie Alerts Premium, your payment is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive and store your subscription status and Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers so we know your account is active. We do not collect or store your full card number — Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy.
When you visit the site, we also collect:
Usage Data: We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google. It collects standard analytics information such as the pages you view, your approximate location and IP address, your browser and device type, and a cookie-based identifier used to recognize return visits.
Returning-visitor count: We also set a first-party cookie of our own to count how many visitors return to the site over time. This cookie holds a random identifier — no personal information — is used only in aggregate, and is never shared with any third party.
Your phone number is used exclusively to send tee time availability alerts that you have requested. We do not use your phone number for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
Usage data collected through Google Analytics is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
By providing your phone number and creating an alert, you consent to receive SMS messages from us regarding tee time availability. Message frequency depends on the alerts you create. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
We do not sell or trade your personal information. Website usage data is shared with Google as part of the Google Analytics service described above. Your phone number is shared only with our SMS provider, solely to deliver the alerts you request. If you subscribe to Premium, payment information is shared with Stripe, our payment processor, solely to process your subscription.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your alert data is retained while the alert is active. When you delete an alert, its data is removed immediately. Triggered and past-date alerts are removed automatically once their date has passed.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
